Privacy Policy & Consent Framework.
Plain-language transparency on how Webdrills handles personal information, Skill Passport visibility, and institutional data protection.
Webdrills ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting the privacy and autonomy of every working professional, university student, faculty member, and enterprise partner who interacts with our platform. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the strict consent controls that govern public profiles and credentials.
1. Information We Collect
When you submit an enquiry through our contact page, we collect the business contact details you provide—such as your full name, work or institutional email address, organisation name, role, and programme brief. We use this information solely to respond to your enquiry and prepare relevant programme documentation.
For learners enrolled in active cohorts or enterprise tracks, we record learning progress, practice lab submissions, rubric evaluations, and credential issuance records necessary to verify skill mastery and issue official certificates.
2. Skill Passport Privacy-by-Default
Every Webdrills Skill Passport defaults to private visibility. We never publish a learner’s project work, assessment scores, or capability profile to public search engines or external directories without explicit opt-in consent from the learner.
Learners may choose which completed projects and credentials appear on their shareable link and may revoke public access or return their profile to private mode at any time.
3. Public Credential Verification Registry
When a certificate is issued, a minimal verification record—containing the recipient’s name, credential tier, programme title, issue date, and unique Credential ID—is registered so that employers or admissions committees who are given the Credential ID or QR code can confirm its authenticity.
Verification lookup requires the exact Credential ID or QR link provided by the credential holder; the registry cannot be scraped or browsed as a public directory of names.
4. Enterprise & University Partner Data
Where a learner participates through an employer-sponsored cohort or a signed university collaboration, capability reports and completion statuses are shared only with the authorised programme administrators designated in the governing institutional agreement.
We do not sell, rent, or trade learner or partner contact lists to third-party advertisers, recruitment agencies, or data brokers under any circumstances.
5. Data Security, Retention & Your Rights
We maintain administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the information we process. Practice lab environments run in isolated sandboxes that are reset after session completion.
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal contact details at any time by writing to our privacy team via the contact page, subject to our obligation to retain official credential issuance logs for fraud prevention.
